John Beatty Memorial Handicap
Round 4 of the Tour of August is hosted by Parramatta Cycle Club and will be a Handicap Road Race held on the Oakville road circuit. (Oakville Public School – Odgen Rd Oakville, Oakville)
This is a graded handicap race so all riders have the opportunity to be first past the post.
The race will be run as the John Beatty Memorial Handicap.
The course used for racing is a 7.1km circuit starting and finishing at Oakville Public School in Ogden Rd, Hanckel Road, Old Pitt Town Road, Saunders Road and Smith Road turning back onto Ogden Road.
We expect that Scratch will do between 8 – 9 laps with the other grades undertaking fewer laps as required.

The Tour of August is a series of 4 events held by Lidcombe/Auburn Cycle Club, Bankstown Sports Cycling Club, Camden Cycle Club, Penrith Cycle Club, Parramatta Cycle Club.
The series is a great way to try new courses, meet new people and show your club colours

Races will commence at 2:00 PM with the start and finish at Oakville Public School on Ogden Road.
Parking will be along Odgen Rd Oakville. Sign on and roll out in grades from Oakville Public School – Oakville
The presentation will be close to the race starting point. Prize Money will be awarded for Across the line places 1-10. Series points will be allocated for places in each grade.
